This article was previously published under Q317110 SYMPTOMS
The Find tool on the Pocket PC 2000 and Pocket PC 2002 may show the wrong date for all-day yearly recurring appointments if the time zone on the desktop computer that you used to create the appointment in Microsoft Outlook is set to a positive offset from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
WORKAROUND
Temporarily change the time zone on the desktop computer to GMT while you create an all-day yearly recurring appointment.
Or, follow these steps while you create the appointment in Outlook:
- Note the positive offset from GMT of the time zone that you are using.
- Calculate the local time that represents 12:00 midnight GMT.
- In the Outlook Appointment Recurrence dialog box, set the Start and End entries in the Appointment time section to the value that you calculated in step 2.
For example, if the time zone that you are using is "GMT+01:00," the positive offset from GMT is 1 hour. Use 1:00 A.M. for the start and end times.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Pocket PC Find tool. MORE INFORMATION
This problem does not occur if the time zone that you are using has a negative offset from GMT.
