BUG: MSXML 3.0 Causes a Problem in Segment Viewer (316930)

SYMPTOMS

When you open a segment to view, you may receive the following error message:
A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: line number
Error: Microsoft VBScript compilation error
Syntax error
line = 1, col = 0
Code: 0
NOTE: In the following section of the error message, the line is offset from the start of the script block:
line = 1, col = 0

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because of an incompatibility that exists between Microsoft XML (MSXML) 3.0 and Microsoft Commerce Server 2000. Internet Explorer 6.0 includes MSXML 3.0; therefore, this problem can occur when you use either of the following configurations:
  • Microsoft Windows XP
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
  • Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 BizDesk

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
  • Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 BizDesk
