SYMPTOMS

You can recall a message that was sent from a distribution list (DL) although you are not the original sender of the message. After you recall the message, you receive many "Message Recall Failure" notifications. (Each recall to each member of the DL is unsuccessful, and the server sends the notification back to you,)

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Office 2000 service pack that contains this fix.
