A Long Delay Occurs When You Search for Files or Folders on a Remote NetWare Server (316874)

If you try to search a folder on a NetWare-based (or compatible) network for files and folders by using Windows Explorer from a Windows 2000-based computer, a delay of from 20 to 30 seconds may occur.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when Windows Explorer tries to open the
remote registry to determine if the computer supports indexing to make a quicker search. The function that performs this operation takes a long time to time out.
