This article was previously published under Q316698 SYMPTOMS
If you turn on the Keep printed documents option in your printer's properties, you can watch the print status to determine whether a print job is completed. If you print a document by using the StartDoc and EndDoc functions, the print status of completed jobs is "Printed." However, if you print a document by using the AddJob and SchduleJob functions, the status of completed jobs is "Sent to printer."
CAUSE
The "Sent to printer" status is new in Windows XP. However, Windows XP does not consider this status if you print jobs by using the AddJob and SchduleJob functions.
