Problems When You Install or Run QuickBooks in Windows XP (316518)

SYMPTOMS
You may experience any of the following symptoms:
- When you try to start QuickBooks after you upgrade to Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition, you may receive the following error message:
QuickBooks requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
- If you install QuickBooks after you install Windows XP, the program may not start after several days of operation.
- When you start Windows XP, you may receive the following error message:
This application failed to start because Msjava.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
- You receive error messages when you view Web pages in QuickBooks.
- When you are installing QuickBooks 2001 on Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition, you may receive the following error message:
Installation of Internet Explorer 5.5 was not completed successfully.
To run many QuickBooks features, Internet Explorer 5.5 is required. You must install it before running QuickBooks 2001.
