SYMPTOMS

When you try to load a Java applet in Microsoft Internet Explorer, you may receive the following error message:

IExplore.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The following error signature information appears in the error report:

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply Microsoft virtual machine build 3308 or later. For more information about the latest Microsoft VM build, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This bug was corrected in Microsoft virtual machine build 3308 or later.
