SYMPTOMS

If you run a Java application or applet that plays sounds, you may receive the following error message:
IExplore.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Although this particular error message appears in Microsoft Internet Explorer, and the application that you run may be different, the module name and the offset for the error message are the same. The following error signature information appears in the error report:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
