Active Directory Client Extension (DSClient) for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. The
DSClient permits the client operating system to take advantage of features that
are provided by the Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory directory service.
These client extensions have been developed for customers who want to deploy
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server in environments that are running Windows NT
4.0-based clients.
Note Although the DSClient is available with the Microsoft Windows 95
operating system and with the Microsoft Windows 98 operating system, this
article is targeted at Windows NT 4.0. Therefore, any reference to the
DSClient, unless otherwise stated, refers to the DSClient for Windows NT 4.0.
