The information in this article applies to:

- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002), Professional Edition
- Microsoft Visual C# .NET (2002)
This article was previously published under Q316097 SYMPTOMS When you try to open a Web project in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002 Professional Edition (PE) that was originally created by using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Beta
2 Professional Developer Conference Release, you may receive the
following error message: Documents in this folder are
not available. The folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems
may be preventing a connection to the server. Note This error occurs only intermittently. RESOLUTION To work around this problem, follow these steps: - Locate the folder that contains the project.
- Copy this folder into a different folder.
- Start Visual Studio .NET.
- On the File menu, point to Open, and then click Project from Web to open the
project.
NOTE: After you apply this workaround, you may notice that the new
folder does not display the Web Folder icon. Even though the operating system does not recognize the new
folder as a Web folder, you can open the project from this folder successfully. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
