HOW TO: Install Microsoft File and Print Services for NetWare on a Windows 2000 Server Computer (316096)

- Insert the Windows Services for NetWare 5.0 CD in the
CD-ROM drive on your Windows 2000-based computer.
- Right-click My Network Places, and then
click Properties.
- Right-click Local Area Connection, and
then click Properties.
- Click Install, click
Service, and then click Add.
- Click Have Disk, and then click
Browse.
- Click My Computer, and then double-click
the CD-ROM drive that contains the Windows Services for NetWare v5.0 CD.
- Double-click the FPNW folder, click
Open, and then click OK.
- Click File and Print Services for
NetWare.
- Type the password you want to assign to the NetWare
Supervisor account in the Password box, retype the password in
the Confirm Password box, and then click
OK.
- To change the folder that the SYS volume will use on the
File and Print Services for NetWare server, type the path of that folder in the
Directory for SYS Volume box.
- To change the name that is assigned to the File and Print
Services for NetWare server, type a new name for the server in the
Server Name box.
- To change the memory tuning parameters for the File and
Print Services for NetWare server, click the option you want to use in the
Tuning section, and then click OK.
- Click Yes to restart the
server.
