To use the SAP agent, you must use a computer on which Windows 2000 Server is installed. The computer must meet the requirements that are listed on the Windows Hardware Compatibility List.

How to Install the SAP Agent
The SAP agent is not installed by default when you install Windows 2000 Server. To install the SAP agent:
- On the desktop, right-click Network Neighborhood, and then click Properties.
- In the Network and Dial-up Connections dialog box, right-click Local Area Connection, and then click Properties.
- In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click Install.
- In the Select Network Component Type dialog box, click Service, and then click Add.
- In the Select Network Service dialog box, click SAP Agent, and then click OK.
- In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click Close.
- Close the Network and Dial-up Connections dialog box.
