SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Microsoft Windows XP, your may see any of the following symptoms with Microsoft IntelliMouse:
  • Assigned buttons do not respond as expected.
  • The mouse is not listed correctly in the mouse Properties dialog box.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur in the following situation:
  • You upgrade to Windows XP.
  • The version of Microsoft IntelliPoint software Mouse that you have is not compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download the IntelliPoint software version 4.0 or later. See the following Microsoft Web site:
