SYMPTOMS

When your computer starts, you may receive the following error message:
No valid FAT on boot drive
Or your computer may stop responding when it attempts to verify the DMI pool data.

If you then attempt to reinstall Windows, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
Warning SU0168

Your computer already has an operating system installed, which cannot be upgraded by this version of Setup. Please obtain the Windows 98 Upgrade.

CAUSE

Your computer may be infected with a master boot record virus called the "Stoned Monk Virus," the "Stoned Empire Monkey Virus," or the "Stoned Monkey Virus,"
