This article was previously published under Q314694 SYMPTOMS When you run the Winnt32.exe file from the Windows Server
2003 Installation CD-ROM to install Windows Server 2003, the shortcut keys do
not appear on any of the dialog boxes in the Winnt32.exe file.
The
first dialog box where this appears after you start the Winnt32.exe file is the
License Agreement dialog box. For example, you see the following choices:
I accept the agreement I don't accept this agreement
After you
press the ALT key, the shortcut keys appear:
I accept the agreement I don't accept this agreement
where each choice has one
letter underlined to indicate the shortcut key. STATUSThis
behavior is by design.MORE INFORMATION With shortcut keys, you can perform actions by using the
keyboard alone. Shortcut keys are defined by the underline that is under
certain characters in the user interface. An example of a shortcut key is File in the menu bar at the top of the Internet Explorer window.
Pressing ALT+F opens the File menu when Internet Explorer is the active program.
