SUMMARY

Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit (MMIT) works with wireless devices that are always connected to the Internet or to an intranet. If a wireless device does not maintain a constant connection, you may need to develop a native application for the device. You can use the Microsoft Embedded Visual Tools 3.0 (EVT) to develop native applications for Microsoft Windows CE-based devices. With the Microsoft Smart Device Extensions (SDE), you can also develop native applications by using Microsoft .NET Compact Framework to develop next generation .NET-based applications for Microsoft Windows CE-based devices.
