Works 2000: Error Message: Setup Could Not Move Calendar File C:\Program Files\Mswkscal.wcd (314497)

When you attempt to install Microsoft Works 2000, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
Windows installer: Setup could not move calendar file
C:\Program Files\Mswkscal.wcd
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Mswkscal.wcd file is corrupted or is a duplicate.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, rename Mswkscal.wcd, and then reinstall Works 2000. To do this, follow these steps.
NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps. - Click Start, and then click Search.
- Click All files and folders.
- In the Look in box, select your computer's hard disk (usually drive C).
- In the All or part of the file name box, type *.wcd, and then click Search.
- When the search process is complete, right-click Mswkscal.wcd, and then click Rename.
- In the box that appears, type Mswkscal.old, and then press ENTER.
When the confirmation message appears, click Yes. - Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each file named Mswkscal.wcd.
- Insert your Works 2000 CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the left-pane click Add New Programs.
- Click CD or Floppy.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation process.
