In Microsoft Visio 2002, when you save a Visio diagram (*.vsd) as an HTML Web page, the HTML folder name and the file name may be truncated if the name of the drawing contains an underscore (_) character.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- The file name contains underscore characters similar to "Drawing_One.vsd" or "Building_7_Floorplan.vsd".
- You selected the Save As command and selected "Web Page (.htm; html)" as the file type.
-or-
You selected the Save as Web Page command on the File menu.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service release for Microsoft Visio 2002.

Temporary Workaround
To temporarily work around this problem, add an additional underscore character to the end of the file name (before the file extension), or remove the underscore characters altogether. For example, if you save or rename the file "Drawing_One.vsd" to "Drawing_One_.vsd" or "Drawing One.vsd", the HTML export filter does not truncate the resulting HTML folder or files.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Visio 2002 Service Release 1
(SR-1).
