SYMPTOMS

When you are using Jscript to control out-of-process or out-of-apartment components on a Web page, you may receive an access violation exception error message in the Jscript.dll file at 100590de.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because Jscript occasionally rebuilds its heap free list during an out-of-process or out-of-apartment method call. This results in a heap entry that is in use being added to the heap free list.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem occurs with Jscript version 5.5.
