This step-by-step article describes procedures to delete messages from queues in two ways: to delete all messages, or to delete selected messages.
Note that deleting messages from a queue permanently removes the messages from the messaging system.

Delete All Messages from Queues- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
- Enumerate the messages in the queue.
- Right-click the queue, and then click one of the following options:
- Click Delete All Messages (No NDR) to delete all messages from the queue without sending a nondelivery report to the senders.
- Click Delete All Messages (Send NDR) to delete all messages from the queue and send a nondelivery report to the senders of the messages.
- When you are prompted, click Yes.

Selectively Delete Messages from Queues- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
- Enumerate the messages in the queue.
- Right-click the message or messages that you want to delete, and then click one of the following options:
