Cannot View Subscriptions that Use DBCS Characters in Subscription Summary Web Part After You Install SharePoint Portal Server SP1 (314310)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001 SP1
This article was previously published under Q314310 SYMPTOMS When you use the Subscription Summary (iframe) Web part in
SharePoint Portal Server 2001 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you may not be able to view
your subscription notifications in the Subscription Summary
list when you subscribe to a folder or document that contains Double-Byte
Character Set (DBCS) characters in its name. In the Japanese-language version
of SharePoint Portal Server 2001 SP1, you may receive an ASP script error
message, and you may not be able to view the Subscription
Summary list. In non-Japanese language versions of SharePoint Portal
Server 2001 SP1, the DBCS characters may not be displayed correctly in the
list.CAUSE This problem occurs because the Ifsubsum.asp file does not
contain the correct codepage tag. RESOLUTION To
resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SharePoint
Portal Server 2001. For additional information, click the following article
