Turn Off Automatic Mounting of Data Stores- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
- Expand Servers, and then expand the server that you want to work with.
- Expand the storage group that you want to work with.
In the list of available data stores that appears in the Details pane, the icon next to the data store name indicates the mount status. If the icon shows a red down-arrow, the store is not mounted. - Right-click the store that you want to work with, and then click Properties.
- In the Store Properties dialog box, click the Database tab.
- Click to select (check) Do not mount this store at start-up.
- Click OK.
