When intrusion detection is enabled and an intrusion occurs, you may not receive an alert, and an event log entry may not be generated.
CAUSE
This problem can occur when an additional condition other than "any intrusion" is selected in the Intrusion Detected alert.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain latest service pack for ISA Server 2000.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, click Any intrusion in the Additional condition box when you configure the Intrusion Detected alert.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was corrected in ISA Server 2000 SP1.
