Taskpad Views Do Not Appear Correct When You Configure Them As Limited Access, Single Window Access (313729)

SYMPTOMS

When you do all the following:
  1. You use Active Directory directory service Users and Computers to create a number of Taskpad views that contain various tasks.
  2. You save the Taskpads and you configure the console access options as user mode - limited access, single window.
  3. You test the Taskpad views.
the console view will sporadically switch between tree view and Taskpad view.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows 2000 that contains this hotfix.
