When you are running FRS on a server (either for DFS replicas or on a domain controller), every five minutes, the floppy drive may spin up. In the FRS debug logs, entries that are similar to the following entries may appear at the same time:
<FrsBuildVolSerialNumberToDriveTable:1368: 1296: S1: 18:34:57> WARN - GetvolumeInformation for A:\; WStatus: ERROR_NOT_READY

CAUSE

This problem can occur because FRS should be skipping removable drives when it is building the drive table.
