SYMPTOMS
In Exchange 2000 Server and Outlook, the received date and time of a message may not be displayed correctly.
This problem may occur when the following conditions exist:
- The original message comes by means of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) Internet e-mail.
- The message is sent again by means of Outlook.
- The message is then sent again to another mailbox that exists in a different storage group on the same Exchange 2000 server.
RESOLUTION
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server service pack that contains this hotfix.
