"Can't contact LDAP Directory server (81)" error message when you try to use the Address Book in Outlook 2002 (312343)

836205. SYMPTOMS After you upgrade to Outlook 2002, when you are composing a
new e-mail message and you either click the To button or try to open the Address Book, you may receive the
following error message: Can't contact LDAP Directory
server (81) CAUSE This behavior can occur if the Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol (LDAP) service was installed by mistake or is incorrectly configured.
RESOLUTION To resolve this behavior, remove the LDAP listing:
- Start Outlook 2002, and on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
- Click View or change existing directories or
address books, and then click Next.
- Click the LDAP type name, click Remove, and then click Yes.
