BUG: Cannot Debug COM+ Application in Visual Basic IDE Under Windows XP (312280)

If you develop a Microsoft Visual Basic COM+ application and set the MTS Transaction Mode of the component to a value other than zero (0) in the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), you may receive the following error message:
Runtime error '430':
Class doesn't support Automation or does not support expected interface.
This problem only occurs in Windows XP if the component that you are debugging is not installed in a COM+ application.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, install the component in a COM+ application.
NOTE: This is fixed in XP hotfix described in Q317926. See the "References" section of this article.
