MacPPTX: Transparent Objects Animate Incorrectly During a Slide Show (312251)

SYMPTOMS

• objects with different levels of gradients and transparencies applied
  
  -and-
• animations that you applied by using the SlideShow Animations command

1. If a single object has the From gradient fill color set to be transparent, the entire object appears as though it had an additional 50 percent transparency overall during its animation. When the animation is over, the object reverts back to its proper settings.
2. If a single object has the To gradient fill color set to be transparent, the entire object appears 100 percent opaque during its animation. When the animation is over, the object reverts back to its proper settings.
3. Grouped objects that have gradient fills with transparencies may exhibit symptoms 1 and 2, with one additional effect:

   If a non-transparent object is grouped behind the transparent gradient fills, the fills that overlap the object are at the correct shades and transparencies.

4. Grouped objects that have solid fills set to some level of transparency, animate as transparent, but overlapping fills appear to have the solid color of the front-most object. When the animation is completed, the fill becomes the correct shade for the objects underneath the front-most object.
5. Grouped objects that have both transparent solid fills and gradients behave as described earlier, except where they overlap. There they behave as though they were solid fills, as in symptom 4.
6. If a shape object is animated behind a transparent gradient fill, the fill behaves as if it were opaque while the object passes behind it, (but only for those objects). Existing overlayments are still transparent.
