Slides in PowerPoint X for Mac movie appear different from those in the standard presentation (312244)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint X for Mac
This article was previously published under Q312244 SYMPTOMS
When you view a Microsoft PowerPoint X for Mac movie, some of the slides may be displayed with a different font, background, or slide design from those elements in the standard slide presentation.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use more than one slide master in a presentation. The first slide master encountered is the one used throughout the movie. If you use a different presentation design for the Title Master, slides that use the Title Slide layout also use this master if it is the first one that is encountered during the Make PowerPoint Movie process.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, follow these steps to apply a single slide master:
- Start PowerPoint X, and then open the presentation.
- On the Format menu, click Slide Design.
- Click the design template that you want to use on all slides, click Apply to all slides, and then click Apply.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
PowerPoint X uses a slide master to control certain text characteristics, background color, and special effects. A slide master can be applied to some or all of the slides in a presentation. When you use more than one slide master in a presentation, the presentation is said to have multiple masters. When you create a PowerPoint movie from a presentation with multiple masters, the slide master setting for some of the slides may be ignored.
