MacOFFX: Lines in Pictures and Graphics Are Thicker Than in Earlier Versions of Office for Mac (312235)

Lines in some pictures or graphics in Microsoft Office v. X for Mac may appear thicker on screen and in printouts than the same lines when you use earlier versions of Office for Mac.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the pictures or graphics are Windows Metafile or Enhanced Metafile graphics that have been imported from a Microsoft Windows version of PowerPoint and then converted into Macintosh PICT files.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, remove the graphics from your document, use a third-party software product to convert them into a different file format, and then reinsert them into your document.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
