MacWDX: Word Quits When You Click AutoText, AutoCorrect, or Cancel (312208)

Microsoft Word X for Mac may unexpectedly quit when you do one of the following actions:
- You click AutoText on the AutoText toolbar.
- You click AutoCorrect on the Tools menu.
- You click Cancel in the AutoCorrect dialog box.
CAUSE
This issue occurs when both the following conditions are true:
- You click Cancel in the AutoCorrect dialog box before you do any of the actions described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
- When you start your computer, you log on manually.
WORKAROUND
To workaround this behavior, follow these steps:
- On the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
- Click Login.
- On the Login Window tab, click to check the Automatically log in check box, type your name and password, and then click Save.
- On the Apple menu, click Restart.
