MacWDX: Unexpected Dialog Box, Toolbar, and Insertion Point Behavior in Word X (312203)

When you open certain dialog boxes while a Word X document is open, you may experience one or more of the following problems:
- A dialog box is hidden by the main document.
- A dialog box does not seem to open, because it actually opens behind another dialog box that is being displayed.
- Toolbars may not be accessible, even when you click in the document window, because there is an open dialog box behind the document.
- An insertion point that is different from what you expect is displayed.
- You cannot get a visual reference to the insertion point in a document.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
- Minimize the active document.
- Close any dialog boxes that may be open.
- Maximize the active document from the Dock.
