This article was previously published under Q312198 SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade to any of the Microsoft Office v. X for Mac products listed at the beginning of this article, custom toolbars may contain blank icons instead of the custom icons that were available in earlier versions of these products.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, you must reassign custom icons to the toolbar buttons. To do this, follow these steps:
- With a file open, hold down CONTROL and click the toolbar button that you want to change.
- On the contextual menu that appears, click Properties.
- In the Command Properties dialog box, click the Custom Icon pop-up menu.
- On the pop-up menu, click to select a new button, and then click OK.
NOTE: The icons on the Custom Icon pop-up menu can only be used as is. You can no longer add icons or modify icons on the Custom Icon pop-up menu.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
