The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Content Management Server 2001
This article was previously published under Q311930 SYMPTOMS
After you install the MethodSystems.pup file on a Content Management Server (CMS) Web site that is enabled for Connect Connector, you cannot edit some pages on the channel that is enabled for the Web Browser Client (WBC).
CAUSE
Because some of the pages in the MethodSystems sample are generated by script, the templates do not have any placeholders.
RESOLUTION
You should not need to edit these pages. However, if you must edit one of these pages, modify the corresponding template as follows: NOTE: This example uses the Home page.
- Locate the template that is in the Templates\CS2000\Site Design\ folder.
- Right-click the Home template, and then click Properties.
- On the Custom tab, click New.
- In the Property Name box, type b_AllowsEditInBrowser.
- Change the property type to Selection.
- Use the New button to add the values TRUE and FALSE.
- Use the Set as Default button to set the default value to TRUE.
You can now log on to the site with an Author account and switch to Edit mode. When you log on, you see the following Edit properties:
- Edit
- Delete
- Move
- Copy
- Page Properties
- Revision History
- View Revisions by Date
NOTE: The exact list that you see in the Tools menu may varying depending on your rights.
STATUSThis behavior is by design.
