The Power-Save Profile May Change When You Share Files (311859)

When the following items are true, the "Always on" option in the Power Policy settings is enabled when you restart your computer:
- If you do not select the "Always on" option in the Power Policy settings
-and- - If you select either the "Share this file" or the "Share this printer" option in the properties for the network computer
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, configure File and Print Sharing, restart your computer, and then change the Power Policy settings.
Note that this behavior does not occur in Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me).
STATUSThis behavior is by design.
