ISA Server 2000 Computer Rule Does Not Include Domain Controllers (311798)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Operations Manager 2000
This article was previously published under Q311798 SYMPTOMS
Under computer group's properties for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000, by default, the entries for computer types list only Microsoft Windows NT member servers. However, because you can install ISA Server 2000 on domain controllers, this could inadvertently exclude servers that are acting as ISA Server 2000 servers.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, change the properties of the ISA Server 2000 Computer Group Computer Types tab to include domain controllers to ensure that all servers with ISA Server 2000 installed will be added to this computer group.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
