No Wireless Desktop Options in IntelliPoint During Installation (311394)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install the Microsoft IntelliPoint software for the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Mouse, there are no Wireless Desktop or Wireless Desktop Mouse options available.

NOTE: Microsoft Wireless Desktop includes the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Keyboard and the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Mouse. Even though these products are bundled together, you must install individual software packages for each product.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, select the Wireless Wheel Mouse option.

NOTE: The Wireless Desktop Mouse is also available as a separate product called Microsoft Wireless Wheel Mouse.

When you install the corresponding IntelliType Pro software for the Wireless Desktop Keyboard, select the Wireless Desktop option.

MORE INFORMATION

The Wireless Desktop Mouse uses Microsoft IntelliPoint software version 4.0, and the Wireless Desktop Keyboard uses IntelliType Pro software version 2.1.
