XADM: "One or More Users Are Already Specified" Error Message When Adding Client Permissions to a Public Folder (311376)

SYMPTOMS

If a mail-enabled user is assigned client permissions to a public folder, no other user can be assigned client permissions to that public folder unless the permissions for the mail-enabled user are removed first. Exchange System Manager also generates the following error message:
One or more users are already specified.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a mailbox-enabled user instead of a mail-enabled user to assign permissions.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
