DFS Does Not Correctly Process Direct Calls to a File System (311267)

Calls that a driver makes directly to the file system may fail if the files reside on a DFS share.
CAUSE
The DFS driver assumes that all operations are made against DeviceObjects that were created as a result of a prior mount request. If the operation is to a device that is not mounted, DFS returns STATUS_INVALID_DEVICE_REQUEST.
