Performance Monitor Objects Are Missing from Site Server in a Terminal Services Session (311086)

SYMPTOMS

When you connect with a Terminal Services client to a Microsoft Windows 2000-based Terminal Services server with Site Server installed, none of the Site server Performance Monitor objects may be available. This problem does not occur if you connect to the server with System Monitor without using Terminal Services.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Site Server service pack that contains this hotfix.
