This article was previously published under Q311057 SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Site Builder in Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2001 to enumerate users or user groups in a Microsoft Windows 2000 domain or in a Microsoft Windows XP domain, the Site Builder may not enumerate any users or user groups, or the Site Builder may enumerate only part of the users or user groups.
Note MCMS 2001 was formerly known as NCompass Resolution 4.0.CAUSE
Active Directory Services (ADS) permits the system administrator to place users under non-default user and user group containers under the ADS tree of a domain instead of in the default Users container. To enumerate a user who is located in a container other than the Users container, you must use the IDirectorySearch Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) call. However, this ADSI call is only available to ADS Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication.
RESOLUTION
Enable ADS LDAP authentication on the Content Management Server (CMS) server.
