This article was previously published under Q310668 SUMMARY
The Csapp.ini file is required by the Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 AuthManger or the Commerce Server 2002 AuthManger. It should not be deleted.
The Csapp.ini file is generated by the Commerce Server Site Packager during unpacking. After the unpacking process is complete, AuthManager requires this file. Therefore, you should not delete Csapp.ini.
Also, this file should not be protected by NTFS permissions because the file must be readable under user credentials, such as the IUSR account. You can disable Read and Anonymous access to the file by using the Internet Services Manager.
