FIX: No Children Members Display in a Ragged Dimension with MDX Compatibility = 1 (308965)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services
This article was previously published under Q308965
BUG #: 12413 (Plato7.x)
SYMPTOMS
The MDX Compatibility property determines how placeholder members in a ragged or unbalanced hierarchy are treated. If you set the MDX Compatibility property value to 1, you expose a placeholder member in a ragged hierarchy.
If you browse a ragged dimension by using the MDX sample application with the MDX Compatibility property set to 1, the placeholder member is not able to display any existing children members, and no error message appears. This problem only happens if there are more than 7 dimension members in the current level.
