PI: You Are Not Prompted to Import Microsoft Clip Gallery Items (308905)

SYMPTOMS

After you add new images and categories to Microsoft Clip Gallery, you are not prompted to import these changes into the Clip Gallery when you start any of the products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Note There is not an option in Picture It! 2003 to import items from the Microsoft Clip Gallery into the Picture It! Gallery when it starts.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:

Method 1: Picture It! 2002

Manually start the import process in the program. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open a project or start a blank project.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click Import Microsoft Clip Gallery items.
  4. Click Yes, and then click OK.
  5. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.

Method 2: Picture It! 2003

  1. Open the Clip Gallery in Microsoft Word.
  2. Right-click, and then click Properties.

    The path to the picture is listed at the bottom of the preview window.
To add a picture to the Gallery:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Edit Items in the Gallery.
  2. Click Add Items to the Gallery.
  3. In the Folders list, select the folder that contains the picture that you want to add to the Gallery.
  4. Select a picture.
To add multiple pictures to the Gallery:
  1. Press CTRL, and then select each of the pictures that you want to add.
  2. Click Open.
  3. In the right pane, select a picture.
  4. In the Categories list, click to check the check box for each category that you want to add the selected picture to.
  5. To add a keyword for the selected picture, in the Keyword box, type the keyword, and then click Add.
  6. To delete a keyword, in the Keyword list, click the keyword that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
  7. To set a date for the picture:
    1. In the Date list, click to select the check box.
    2. Click the Date list, and then select a date.
    3. Click Apply, and then click Done.
