FP2000: Error Message When You Click a Hyperlink Button in a Form: The Page Cannot Be Displayed (308694)

When you click a hyperlink button in a form in a Microsoft FrontPage Web, the destination page may not be displayed as expected, in which case you receive the following error message:
The page cannot be displayed
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the button in the form is designed to send information to a text file or a custom script.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Start FrontPage.
- On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click Push Button.
- Click Reset, and then press DELETE.
- Click Button, and then press DELETE.
- Right-click a blank space in the form, and then click Form Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Click Send to other, and then click Options.
- In the Action box, type the URL that you want to link to the current page.
- In the Method box, click GET.
- Click OK in each open dialog box.
- On the File menu, click Save.
- Click Submit to test your link.
