SYMPTOMS

When you use the Acer Technologies MiraScan software version 3.40 to scan documents in any of the programs that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article, you select the My scanner software option, and then you click anywhere in the scanner software user interface, the program may stop responding (hang).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
