Power Icon Is Always Visible When You Use Battery Power (307990)

When you are using a notebook computer on battery power with Windows 2000, the power icon in the right side of the taskbar remains visible even if you have disabled the Always show icon on the taskbar option on the Advanced tab of Power Options. However, the power icon is not visible when the laptop is plugged into an AC power source.
