How to Add a Program to the Quick Launch Bar To add Office programs to the Quick Launch bar, follow these
steps:
- Click Start, point to Programs, and then point to the Office program that you want.
- Right-click the program, and then click Create Shortcut.
- Click Start, and point to Programs.
You should see the shortcut in the list with (2) after the name. For example, if you created a shortcut for
Microsoft Word, you should see Microsoft Word (2). - Click the shortcut, and then drag the shortcut to the
desktop.
- On the desktop, right-click the shortcut, and then click Rename.
- Press the RIGHT ARROW key, and then press BACKSPACE four
times to remove the number (2).
- Click the shortcut, and then drag it to the Quick Launch
bar on the taskbar.
- Repeat these steps for all program icons as
needed.
