Changes to Your Playlists in Windows Media Player Are Not Updated in Plus! Personal DJ (307695)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to create a custom playlist in Microsoft Plus! Personal DJ for Windows XP, the playlists that are displayed under Playlists in the Choose a music category box may not match the playlists that are displayed under My Playlists in Microsoft Windows Media Player.

For example, if you create a new playlist in Windows Media Player, the new playlist is not displayed under Playlists in Plus! Personal DJ.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you create a new playlist, or if you rename or remove an existing playlist in Windows Media Player when Plus! Personal DJ is already running. Under these circumstances, changes that you make to your playlists in Windows Media Player are not updated in the Playlists list in Plus! Personal DJ.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, quit and then restart Plus! Personal DJ. When you restart Plus! Personal DJ, the Playlists list is refreshed, and then your playlists are displayed as expected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
